RACES BRING VISITORS TO NEW ORLEANS NEW ORLEANS La February 17 John Dymond president of the Business Mens Racing Association is enthusiastic over the success of the recent Fair Grounds meeting and points out that the racing was a big ad ¬ vertisement for the city He said the average daily attendance was about 6000 of which 75 per cent on week days were noneresidents while on Saturdays and holidays the propor ¬ tion rose to 40 per cent for local patronage These figures show that racing brought peo ¬ ple to the city and it is certain that local business profited by the expenditures of the host of visitors
