LEXINGTON PROGRAM OUT Total of 3,000 to Be Distributed During Ten-Day Meeting Beginning April 28. LEXIXGTOX, Ky.. April 7.— The book for the Kentucky Association spring meeting, which is to open here Saturday, April 28, in augurating the racing for 1112:5 in this slate, was issued this afternoon and is being distributed to horsemen. During the ten days of the meeting there will be seventy races, for which the added money will aggregate :5,000, a daily average of ,000. There are to be thirty-six races with purses of , twenty-one races with ,000 purses, seven with ,200 purses, two with ,400 purses and four stake races with ,000 added to each. The Ashland Oaks is to be run on the opening day. The Camden Handicap, at a mile and a quarter, for three-year-olds and over, will be the feature for Saturday, May 5. The TQbaooo Stakes, for two-year-olds, at a half mile, will be run May 7, and the I Hue Crass Stakes, at a mile and an eighth, which is for three-year-olds, is in the nature of a preliminary to the Kentucky Derby, and will be decided Wednesday. May J, ten days in advance of the running of the great race at Churchill Downs. The book was written by judge William H. Shelley, racing secretary for the Lexington, Louisville, Latonia and Ashland tracks, and its conditions are acceptable to the horsemen who have had an opportunity to peruse it.
