The Business Mens Racing Association announces for its winter meeting, beginning Jan. 1, 1924, and extending for a period of fifty-four racing days, the following stake schedule: Date and Stake. Added Value Tuesday, Jan. 1 New Years Handicap.... $ 5,000 Saturday, Jan. 5 Fontchartrain Handicap.. 2,000 Saturday, Jan. 12 A. B. Dade Memorial Handicap 2,000 Saturday, Jan. 19 Rex Handicap 2,000 Saturday, Jan. 26 Momus Handicap 2,000 Saturday, Feb. 2 Comus Handicap 2,000 Saturday, Feb, 9 Esplanade Handicap , 2,000 Saturday, Feb. 10 Crescent City Handicap. 5,000 Friday, Feb. 22 Washingtons Birthday Handicap 2,000 Saturday, Feb. 23 Carrollton Handicap 2,000 Saturday, March 1 New Orleans Handicap.. 2,000 Tuesday, March 4 Mardi Gras Handicap.... 5,000 There will be seven races daily, of which there will be six races with purses of ,000 and one race with a purse of ,200 daily. It is believed that this announcement of the Business Mens Racing Association will be found satisfactory to the racing fraternity and the public alike. John Dymond, Jr., president and general manager of the Business Mens Racing Association, states that all indications point to a most successful racing season.
