Won driving; second and third the same. RELIABILITY, showing the most speed, led for the entire trip and outstayed LITTLE HOPE. The latter raced into early clcse contention after cutting across in front of the others on the first turn and finished well. FLOWER SHOP had to overcome interference and finished gamely. REDWOOD was a sufferer from interference. BATTER UP, away slowly and ridden wide cn the turns, came fast in the stretch and got up to win in the last stride. HORGAN set the pace nearly all the way and ran gamely, but tired. PHIL McCANN raced forwardly all the way. DUDLEY closed a big gap and finished fast. SAYNO tired badly after racing into a brief lead. CHACOLET began slowly and was far back for the first half, then began to gain rapidly and, coming through the stretch with a rush, outstayed IN MEMORIAM through the last sixteenth. IN MEMO-BUM, lucky at the start, was kept in close pursuit of the leaders and seemed to have the race won in the last eighth, but succumbed near the end. SHUFFLE ALONG showed fine speed in pacemaking to the stretch, but began tiring after leading for the first mile. KNOBI5IE was away well and well ridden, but tired in the stretch. OUI OUI made up ground and was going well at the end. VIGIL would probably iiave been a close contender at the finish, but for going badly lame. ACTUARY tired. UNTID1! was always badly outrun.
