COL MATT WINN PLEASED LATONIA, Ky., Oct. 6 After the running of the Kentucky Special Colonel M. J. Winn, general manager of the Kentucky Jockey Club, said: "The second revival of the 0,000 added Kentucky Special was an unqualified success. The weather was perfect, the crowd was tremendous and the race was a spirited contest between the best handicap horses in America. I have had only one purpose in providing the richest purse ever offered in a handicap race in this country, and that is to furnish the loyal patrons of Latonia with the highest-class sport obtainable. Owing to their patronage and to the publicity so generously given by the newspapers the Kentucky Special has taken its place among the great events of the American turf."
