GOOD OUTLOOK AT WHEELING WHEELING. W. Va,, Oct 13. At an enthusiastic meeting of the directors of the Wheeling Driving Club, held here last night, final plans were made for the thoroughbred race meeting that will take place in this city Oct. 24-Nov. 3. Reports were received from Secretary Bert Swartz of the progress of preparations for the meeting and a rosy outlook was indicated for the success of it. The racing plant of the West Virginia State Fair has been leased for the occasion. It has stabling facilities for 500 horses, a large -grand stand, paddock, jockey house, up-to-date mutuel plant, and all other necessary equipment. These grounds were the : scene of the successful running race meeting ; staged by the Driving Club in the spring of ! lfZL
