Wen driving; second and third the same. GONFALON began slow, but worked his way up gradually on the backstretch and, responding gamely when called on in the stretch, headed SUPPLIANT at the eighth-post and held him safe to the end. SUPPLIANT set a good pace and saved ground on all the turns, but could not withstand the winners challenge. WARRENTON raced forwardly all the way. Won easily; second and third driving. BRIGADIER GENERAL jumped well and, leading under restraint, withstood repeated challenges from MUSTY and was going away at the end. LETTERMAN, after being reserved in the early running, mado up ground steadily and finished gamely, but could not reach the winner. RED CLOVER finished resolutely and outstayed MUSTY. The latter was under a stout pull for the first two miles, but made a bad landing at the fourteenth jump and would not extend himself afterward. MINATA raced well. FLUVANNA r.iced in close early pursuit tf the leader and headed RUSTIC at the three-eighths post, but tired badly In the last quarter. KINGS RANSOM ran well and stayed the rcute gamely. MY OWN was saved in close pursuit of NEW HAMPSHIRE into the stretch, then raced into the lead and was under mild pressure to maintain his advantage at the finish. SPOT CASH raced close up and, coming fast when called on, made a resolute finish. NEW HAMPSHIRE set a terrific pace and tired in the final drive. CHERRY PIE was under restraint in the early running and finished gamely. TEN MINUTES had no mishaps. DUNLIN ran a fast mile and quit. D. was sent to the front soon after the start and set a fast pace under mild restraint, but tired right at the end. PASTORAL SWAIN was hard ridden all the way and rau a good race. MIRACLE MAN ran well. WILD FLOWER finished gamely. POOR SPORT tired badly.
