LAUREL RACING NEWS Jack Phillips, who will race his horses at New Orleans during the winter, is organizing his stable preparatory to shipping South immediately following the Laurel meeting. Yesterday he disposed of the plater Guy to W. B. Mitchell. . It is his intention to purchase a few young horses to take the place of Guy and Clouglijordan, which was claimed from him a few days ago. Among those who will make the trip from here to New York to witness the running of the International race at Belmont Park on Saturday are J. K. L. Boss, Gwyn .Tompkins, Max Hirsch, Ti. A. Smith, Prank Farrell, T. J. Healey and Bill Knapp. Happy Gordon, who leads the horses to the post in the different races here, suffered a splintered bone in his shoulder when his mount stumbled and unseated him yesterday. J. S. Healy has arranged to ship Mr. A. C. Bostwicks Shuffle Along to Belmont Park tomorrow, where the colt will start in the New Rochelle Handicap on Saturday. Jockey J. Butwell resumed galloping horses this morning and will make an effort to get in condition to accept mounts during the Pimlico meeting.
