MANOEL WINS GRAND PRIX I NICE, France, Jan. 23. The Grand Prix de la Ville de Nice, with 125,000 francs added, was won by the six-year-old Manoel in a hard drive by a short neck from Messionicr, with Le Souvenir third. The Grand Prix de la Ville is the most important winter cross-country race in southern France and is run over a trying course of 5,000 mere3 about 3 1-4 miles. Fifteen horses started in this years renewal.
