STAB SHOOT RACED LITTLE The dead stallion. Star Shoot, five times leader of American sires in the matter of money won by his sons and daughters, was not raced to any great degree prior to being put in the stud. Star Shoot proved himself a gcod two-year-old in 1899, one of his principal tests being the race for the National Breeders Produce Stakes at Sandown Park, when he was ridden by Lester Reiff. running a dead heat with Ian, ridden by "Tod" Sloan. He ran but twice as a three-year-old, being shipped to this country in 1901. In Mr. Mad-dens hands he established a great reputation as a sire.
