SHASTA EXPRESS began fast from a rail position and, racing into a gcod lead quickly, increased his advantage steadily and won in a canter. EDMON raced forwardly throughout and outstayed VOORFLOR. REGULAR GIRL raced JOB V. into defeat, then drew out into a good lead and gamely held SLY FOX safe in the final drive. SLY FOX was well ridden and did hii best. MAY PROSPER made a fast finish. LAWRENCE MANNING tired badly in the final eighth. SEA WAY was in close quarters soon after the start. SOPHIA GOLDMAN, prominent from the start, made a resolute finish and poked her nose In front of MARGARET WHITE in the last strides. MARGARET WHITE tired after racing in closest but unavailing pursuit of the winner to the last sixteenth. DAINTY LADY made up ground. TEMPTRESS retired early. YBBilAK raced into a clear lead after turning for home and appeared all over the winner fifty yards out, but tired when pnt to the drive. COLD BBYAN made a game finish and outstayed FBKECUTTEU. The latter set the pace under sufferance and tired badly in the final eighth. TKNNILKK showed speed, but ran out to the extreme outside when turning for home. RKARDON finished resolutely and ran to his best form. DOMINIQCU was under slight restraint during the early running, then raced into the lead after turning for home, but tired in the final sixteenth and gave way. MY REVERIE, after setting a fast pace, fell back after turning for home. DR. CLARK was never dangerous. RUNCLAR was eased up when his task appeared hopeless. Overweight Runclar, 3 pounds.
