May L— Although steeplechasing is a losing proposition at Connaught I*ark it has been decided to carry en with that branch of racing at the Ottawa track, so it was announced today by Thomas Gorman, secretary of the club, before he departed for bis home after a hurried trip here. Mr. German is greatly cn-! couraged by the response of horsemen to his invitation to race at Connaught Park and is looking forward to a splendid meeting. While here he engaged J. B.
