BARBARA FRIETCHIE began slowly and was outrun for the firt three eighths, but came fast after entering the homestretch and. finishing with a ru*li, got up in the last sixteenth to win going away. GOLD IIF.CK raced into the lead soon after the start and set ■ fa*t pace, but tired near the end. FALRR FACK saved ground on the turns and raced into the lead, but also tired. STORM KING gave way after making a rush when entering the homestretch. The first Lur were extra good lookers. CRUMPLE and MASTER RUMP were very gn-en. Won pulled up; second and third driving. ETHEREAL BLUE, jumping in faultless fashion, drew away into a long lead in the first turn of the field and was under restraint for the entire race. LOIJ.IIOP finished in resolute fashion after racing mider a pull until in the last quarter. PARLAYS was apparently going well within himself when he tired suddenly. HOUYHNHN.VI jumped well and was prominent in the second division until in the last eighth. ROI CRAM tired. The latter showed much the most early speed and drew away on the backstretch. but tired near the end. SKA MONARCH ran well, hut was much used in following the pacemaker and tired.
