DOWNS IMPROVEMENTS IMPRESS VISITORS LEXLNGTON. Ky.. May f MisTJ turf followers here took advantage of the off day to visit Louisville and Churchill Downs. They were greatly impressed with the magnitude of the improvements: there. An immense force of workmen is still on the job getting everything shaped for the opening on May 10. The extension to the clubhouse section measures 450 feet. The new paddock is a thing of beauty and is located centrally in back of the grandstand. It will be accessible to grandstand and clubhouse patrons alik-ยป with eise. The other improvements are mas sive and in keeping with the magnitude of the place, which now is the finest appointed racing course in the country.
