The latter was saved for the Ui-st half mile and finished fast, but was unable to overhaul the leader when called on. R1XIF, SMITH ran well, but tired in the last eighth. VICAIRK rushed to the front at tie start and. jumping in faultless fashion, won all the way and was under restraint all of the last turn of the field. HIONORA. after racing under restraint until the last turn of the field, finished gamely and easily di.-posi d of ADAMANT in the last eighth. The latter made a bad landing at the hist jump where he went to his knees. FORT RLISS fell at the third jump and WISEST FOOL tumbled over him. REGALIA lost his rider at the twelfth jump and FIFTEEN ENTS was pulled up at the seventh.
