FLINT STONE DEAD Flint Stone, the star of the last winter meeting at New Orleans is dead. The son of Friar Rock met with a mishap in the running of the Dixie Handicap at Pimlico lr.st Saturday. In favoring a bad ankle he broke a gocd one and had to be destroyed. Flint Stone had developed into a smashing good handicap horse and had won seven out of twelve starts this year. He did not race as a two-year-old and only faced the starter in seven races as a three-year-old. of which ho won three and finished second in the other four.
