RACELAND DERBY OF ,000 , | And Three Other Stakes Announced in Newest of Kentucky Tracks to Open July 10. LEXINGTON, Ky., May 5.— Thos. P.. Cromwell, who went to Raceland Sunday in company of Q. H. Ke.ne, J. P.. Cloher and I W. Pondas, returned this morning and reported that every thing at the new Ken- tucky track was progressing favorably and that all would be in complete readiness for, the opening there July 10. Judge William H. Shelley who will be nounced the conditions for four stakes au-, racing secretary at llaceland today an-! ! thorized by the Tri-State Fair and Racing Association for the inaugural meeting of the newest of tile Kentucky tracks, July 10th lb 1 August 1. The entries are to close Saturday, j May 24, and the stakes are as follows: The Raceland Derby ,000 added for three- car-olds, one mile and one quarter. The Ashland Handicap ,000 added, for thr c-year-o!ds and over, one mile and one i eighth. The Irontonia, ,000 added, for two-year-olds, Ave and one-half furlongs. The Greeaup Handicap, ,000 added, for1 two-year-olds, three-quarters mile. He also announced that there will b four overnight handicap* with ,500 added to each. , «
