FALLS AT MAPLE HEIGHTS CLEVELAND, Ohio, May 26.— An accident came with the running of the fourth race when Exchange fell while in the lead after rounding the far turn. The horse broke a leg and was destroyed. Jockey H. Paden escaped serious injury. Paden suffered a cut above his eye and cancelled his remaining engagements. Approaching the stretch turn in the second race, Melvina stumbled and fell with Jockey Eaton. The lad was removed to a hospital where he was found to be suffering from concussion of the brain and his left shoulder was crushed. Jockey McAuliffe, who suffered a fall here on Friday, is improving rapidly and will be able to leave the hospital in a few days. i | | |
