Va., June 3.— Everything , is in readiness for the opening of the Wheeling _ Driving Clubs spring race meeting at t State Fair Grounds tomorrow and the management say they expect a meeting which . will eclipse anything of the sort ever held in this community. Practically all the , thoroughbreds which took part in the recent I meeting at Akron are on the grounds, as . well as close to a hundred head from Cleveland and several from Churchill Downs, and j as a result stable accommodations are at a x premium. Andrew G. Leonard, of Lexington, Ky., will serve as presiding judge and will be assisted in the stand by Chester Stands and J S. S. Bender as associate judges. Lester Dean, who did such good work at Akron, • will again be starter, and Mr. Bender will serve as racing secretaiy. The track is rapidly drying out and it is 3 expected that it will be in good condition 1 when the horses are called to the post for r the first race at 2:30 P. M. tomorrow.
