STARS FOR CHICAGO DERBY Rancocas to Be Represented — Black Gold, Nellie Morse and Beau Butler May Be Seen. NEW YORK, N. Y., June 3.— Joseph A. Murphy, general manager of the Chicago business Mens Pacing Association, was a visitor at Belmont Park today. He received i ■ many applications for stable room for the ] i coming Hawthorne meeting, which opens on July 3 and runs fifty -one days. S. C. Hildrcth has promised to show the Rancocas Stable silks in the Chicago Derby, to be run over the Hawthorne track July 12. I Other promises obtained by Judge Murphy I | are Nellie Morse. Altawood, Rustic. Senator Xorris, Beau Butler, Black Gold, Polo Ground and several others. Should these go to the post, it would mean a meeting between the winner of the Preakness and the Kentucky Derby, which would give the Chicago 5,000 prize a greatly added importance. In j addition to the Derby promises, several other i horsemen made application for stabling.
