WORLDS FAMOUS EPSOM DERBY RUN TODAY TWENTY-EIGHT NAMED TO START » Diophon Remains Favorite as Tom Pinch Recedes i Still Further in Wagering — Experts Like Lord Derbys San Sovino — All Attendance Records May Be Shattered, Though Weather Forecasts Are Far from Favorable • SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. London, England, June 3. — Twenty-eight three-year-old colts, the pick of Englands and Frances thoroughbreds of that age, are expected to face the barrier at Epsom Downs tomorrow afternoon in the one hundred and forty first renewal of the Epsom Derby, the most famous race in the world. Weather conditions are far from promising. Overcast skies, with a threat of rain and a heavy course are in prospect. King George V. will be represented in the race only by Resinato, as the other Royal candidate, Knight of the Garter, was scratched at noon today when it became apparent that he could not be relieved of the boils on his leg sufficiently to permit him to start. Prince Aga Khans Diophon holds his position as favorite at 6 to 1 on the eve of the race. Lord Woolavingtons Tom Pinch has receded still further in the betting and is now at i 8 to 1.
