BRIGHT IDEA began forwarder and, finishing resolutely, outgnmed MYRTI.E P.KLLE through the final eighth. The latter followed the winner closely to the last eighth and tired. KUMONIN closed up some ground. CROSSWISE bolted across the track to the extreme outside and pulled up. LE VIGNEMALE was saved under slight restraint for the first turn of the field, then crossed over in front of SHAWN A GLANNA, when coming to the final jump and drew away into an easy lead. SHAWN A GLANNA, showed high speed throughout and outjumped the others, but tired in the final drive. WOODLEY II. began slowly, but closed up with a rush through the final quarter and outstayed COLIBRI at the end. The latter blundered badly after taking the final jump when in a contending position. Won easily; second and third driving. EAGLET was saved under restraint to the last turn, then moved up swiftly on the outside and, passing BONAPARTE, drew away into an easy lead and win eased up. BONAPARTE saved ground on all the turns and raced CHESTERBROOK into early defeat. CHESTERBROOK showed early ■peed, slipped through on the inside on the stretch turn and came again at the end. VULNAD showed speed, but came very wide when entering the stretch. DONNELLY had no mishaps. INDIAN TRAIL forced a fast pace and, passing INFINITE after going five-eighths, withstood a pressing challenge from MACLEAN and held the lead gamely under his big weight. MACLEAN was saved uuder restiaint to the stretch, then moved up on the outside to the leader at the eighth post, but tired in the final drive. INFINITE set a fast early pace and quit when called on. NEGOCIATEUR began slowly, but worked his way up on the inside and. having a clear course in the stretch, raced into a good lead, but was swerving to the outside through the final sixteenth. FIFTY-FIFTY was a forward contender from the start and raced on the outside throughout, Iwt finished fast. BEI.CROSS finished with a rush. ALADDIN ran fairly well. MUSK ALLONGE quit after setting the pace to the stretch. MONTALVO pulled up sore. PAT CASEY raced well to the stretch.
