i j WINNER OF FRENCH OAKS SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. PARIS, France, June 9. — Eduard Kanns Uganda, a daughter of Bridaine and Hush, by St Serf, won the Prix de Diance French Oaks at Chanilly yesterday by a neck from A. Aumonts Isola Bella, with Baron M. De Rothschilds Farizade hird. Twenty-three three-year-old fillies started In the classic. Joseph E. Wideners Carnation was fifth at the finish not far behind the placed horses. A record crowd was on hand for the race and there were many Americans present. F. R. Hitchcock, Julius Fleischmann, Ogden Mills and Mrs. W. K. Vanderbilt were among the visitors from the States.
