The kings Mail Coach, piloted by Lyne, won the Marie Cristina Cup, and Ruban, j I with the American in the saddle, captured | j the King of Italy Cup. The races were witnessed by a great as-semblage of royalty, members of the aris- j ! tocracy and society. King Alfonso and Queen ! 1 Victoria and King Victor Emmanuel, Queen Helena and Crown Prince Humbert of Italy were in the royal box. Alexander P. Moore, the American ambassador, was among the first to congratulate Lyne on his successful riding. ♦
