Va., June 9.— Trainer EI Metzgar, Lionel Gregory and Howard Gregory were ruled off the turf here today for complicity in administering a dangerous stimulant to the horse Jap Muma prior to the running of the seventh race here on Saturday. From the effect of the stimulant the horse became crazed in the paddock and was ordered scratched by the stewards. Later! Saturday evening, the horses condition necessitated his being destroyed by the superintendent of the course. For pulling up Barbara Talmer at the start of the first race jockey G. Yeargin was fined 00 and set down for the remainder of this meeting by starter Dean. W. A. McKinney purchased Fair Rowena at private sale and she ran in the colors of her new owner today.
