TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM AQUEDUCT NEW YORK, N. Y., June 23. Commander J. K. L Ross, the Canadian breeder, was a clubhouse visitor today. Jockey B. Marinelli returned from Montreal yesterday following a trip to Dorval Park. W. E. Oliver will leave for Windsor to look over the small stable that he is campaigning in Canada. There were several shipments to Chicago yesterday, among which were T. J. Shannon, Fred Kraft and Louis Meripole. J. P. Smith shipped the B. Harding stable, which he had at Montreal, here for a campaign. Smith is on the lookout for more horses. The stable that Jack Pryce raced at Montreal for R T. Wilson and W. J. Salmon returned to Belmont Park yesterday and will race here for the remainder of the racing season. Word was received from El Paso that Harry "Kid" Miller had died at that point, yesterday, following a lingering illness. Miller was well known to the racing fraternity and Went west several years ago for his health. The remains will be shipped to St. Louis tomorrow. i
