| i j j TURF NEWS OF THE DAY FROM HAMILTON HAMILTON, Ont., June 23. Ed Trotter has been resting here since the Thorncliffe meeting. Fred Forsting came from New York with Cano, Wildrake and Satana. J. McTaggart is here with the Kenton Stable, both divisions of which have been combined. Ed Thomas will school daily in the back-stretch beginning Tuesday morning. The schooling hour will be from 8 :30 to 9 :30. G. R. Allen, who has been resting here for a week since Blue Bonnets, has schooled Links through the field and expects that he will develop into a good jumper. Carrie Winfrey and T. H. Wilson open their Canadian activities for the year at the current meeting. W. Harvey accompanied the Winfrey stable. E. "Skinny" Flynn will make engagements here for two days for C. Frost and leave after that with the boy to attend the Devonshire meeting. There are plenty of jumpers on hand for the meeting. Major White, "Specs" Craw-j ford and S. Veitch are among the arrivals from New York to saddle horses for this branch of the sport ยป
