I WEATHER AFFECTS SALES Attendance Below Normal and Prices Realized Below Standard. . Light Brigade, Margaret Ilampson Colt, Star of Sales, Falling to Paul Connelly for ,300. SARATOGA SPRINGS. N. Y.. Aug. 12. The thoroughbred yearling sales were resumed Monday night, but due to the cloudy and chilly weather the attendance was below the average and as a result bidding was affected and the prices realized were much below the usual standard. The offerings came from the farms of Charles Nuckols, Keene and Black, F. Ambrose Clark, the Bosque Bonita Stud and the Monietta Stud. The star of the sale from a monetary standpoint was a bay or brown colt, the property of Charles Nuckols, by Light Brigade Margaret Hampson by Nasturtium, which went to Paul Connelly on his bid of ,300. Eugene Leigh, who brought ever the French invader Epinard, was a buyer for the first time, and he secured a bay filly from the Keene and Black consignment for ,000.
