WINDSOR TURF NOTES "W. JL "Woollatt, president of the "Western Racing Association, has put men to work upon improvements at the Devonshire plant. A light layer of sand is being put upon the course. This will be an annual practice until the clay is cut sufficiently. G. W. Foreman will ship his own horses and those of W. J. Kramer to Niagara Falls ;Monday and will turn P. G. Christophers Procyon over to J. Burttschell for the remainder of the Canadian season. Nate Byer will race his public stable at iKenilworth and at Thorncliffe. Catalan is the star of this string. Condition books for the twenty-five days of racing from September 6 to October 4 at Aurora, 111., under the auspices of the Fox galley Business Mens Racing Association, were received today by J. B. Campbell. Stage Coach was cut on the legs while at the post yesterday. J. McMillen is an arrival and will remain for the meeting. B. P. Summerfield claimed Oakwood from S. Flaherty for ,500. Reservations for the Special from here to Ottawa, Tuesday night, over the C P. TL, have been so numerous that another car has been added. A diner will be on the train from here and another picked up for breakfast Wednesday morning. Bill Porter is accepting reservations. Tidings pulled up extremely lame after the second race.
