j SARATOGA TURF NOTES SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 21. Nat Byer has bought the two-year-old Exit from John S. Ward. W. J. Howard claimed Old Broadway out of the first race for ,500. Jockey E. Beach who rode Skirmish yesterday was suspended for three days by the stewards for rough riding. Olynthus, the winner of the fifth race, is a half-brother to Verwood and other good ones, their dam being Kildonan, by the Derby winner Ladas. After the first race My Play was worked a mile and an eighth in 2:15, which was excellent considering the heavy condition of the track. He ran his first quarter in 25, the half in 50, six furlongs in 1:19, mile in 1:47, and the distance in 2:15.
