Sanford Stud Farm Sale SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., Aug. 21. Disagreeable weather conditions ruined what gave promise of being one of the best sales of the season when the Sanford Stud Farm offerings were disposed of in the sales paddock by the Fasig-Tipton Company on Wednesday evening. A heavy rain, which lasted over an hcur, commenced about 8 oclock and kept the attendance down to small numbers, and as a result small prices were realized. Twenty-four yearlings and eleven broodmares were put under the hammer for a total of 3,850. The lot comprised mostly imported animals and were bred along fashionable lines. Edward R. Bradley paid ,500 for a bay or brown filly by imported Nassovlan from imported Conine, by Lemberg. This handsome filly attracted the most spirited bidding of all the juveniles. Colonel P. T. Chinn, master of the Himyar Stud, overtopped E. R, Bradleys bid when he gave 57,200 for the broodmare imported Lacerta, by Sunstar, from Orange Lady, by William the Third. Several lots were offered with the foal at side. The summary of the sale follows: j . Property of Sanford Stud Tzra. YEARLINGS. Bay or brown colt Sand Mole Affiance, by Clifford W. T.
