HAWTHORNE News and Gossip of the Day at Chicagos Famous Track HAWTHORNE RACE TRACK, Aug. 21. The condition books for the final week of the meeting were distributed this afternoon. Earl Pool accepted his first mounts at the meeting when he rode Will Wells and Eel-man this afternoon. Jockey L, McDermott, who has been absent from the saddle for about a week, got back into action this afternoon and had the mount on Merrimac in the sixth race. The second division of the H. G. Bedwell stable that has been racing here under the direction of L. G. Bedwell was shipped today to Windsor. From that track the stable will be sent to Montreal. The following notice promulgamated by the stewards has been posted in the racing secretarys office: "Any owner, trainer or other person accepting privileges from this association who defaults in any obligations, either in connection with the racing, or in the care of horses or men under their care, will be published as having been denied all privileges of the course."
