HOBSON moved up witli a rush after going the first quarter and bolted on the stretch turn, but finished well. WILL WELLS moved up steadily In the stretch, but was a distant third. MARTHA MOORE, showing the most speed, set a good pace to the stretch nnd began tiring in the last eighth, but held SLANDERER safe. The latter came fast through the Btretch and finished gamely. JORDAN was close up in the early running, but was in the heaviest going in the stretch and tired badly. RAMKIN refused to extend himself. MARINE CORPS raced poorly. LESTER DOCTOR, racing in his true form under a good ride, rushed into the lead at once and, holding it well, set a fast pace and outstayed LORENA MARCELLIA. The latter responded gamely to mild riding in the stretch and was going fastest of all at the end. BODY GUARD raced in closest pursuit to the last eighth and began tiring. MARK MASTER saved much ground on the stretch turn and raced into the lead, but tired slightly in the last sixteenth. LOUIS RUBENSTEIN showed the most early speed, but tired badly In the Btretch. DORIUS was close up from the Start and saved much ground on the turns, but the winner held him safe. ATTILIA was forced back on the first turn, but came fast through the stretch. ROYAL DUCK showed improvement. LIEGE began tiring in the last eighth. MERRIMAC swerved when beginning the first turn and caused a jam when he cut sharply across to take the lead and quit after making the pace to the far turn. THE FOREIGNER bolted on all the turns.
