LIVE AQUEDUCT NEWS NEW YORK, N. Y., Sept. 23. The fifth race on the regular program for Wednesday failed to fill and the first race having received twenty-three entries was divided and will be run as the first and fifth races. It is unfortunate that a reported court action against A. J. Contento created the impression that his racing stable would not be offered at auction Friday. The auction of the horses will be conducted in the Aqueuct paddock Friday by the Thoroughbred Sales Company, as has been advertised and announced in Dally Racing Form. Frank E. Browns good camipaigner Hephaistos, winner of the Brooklyn Handicap of this year and the hero of many a turf prize, is to go under the hammer at the sale of horses in training, to be conducted by the Fasig-Tipton Company at the Jamaica track on October 4. This sale includes, besides Hephaistos, both Billy Warren and Aragon from Mr. Browns stable, consignments by George D. Widener, Robert L. .Gerry, Marshall Field and several other prominent sportsmen.
