ASAPH LEADS ALL THE WAY Easily Accounts for Main Race at Beulah Park Bobs Hope . at Long Odds. COLUMBUS, Ohio, Oct 23. There was no special feature down for decision at Beulah Tark this afternoon. The-best field of the card measured strides in the seventh race and Asaph, saddled by G. W. Church, showed the way throughout and at no stage of the contest was he in serious trouble. Gem and Tingling raced in closest pursuit during the early stages but in the final test Devonite and Sundial II.- fought i,t out for second place, the former earning the verdict in a hard drive. Mary Maxim proved to be easily best of those engaged in the sixth race and made every post a winning one. Bobs Hope proved somewhat of a sensation when he led all the way in the initial race and returned a dividend of ?106.40 for . Froth was hard urged at the end to earn the verdict in the fifth after leading throughout Henry J., Southern Pacific and Boys Believe Me all came from behind in the closing stages of their races to earn brackets after keen stretch struggles. Favorable weather prevailed today and the attendance showed marked improvement over yesterday. N. C. E-erett claimed Asaph out of the seventh race for ,800.
