ROSA YETA followed the pacemakers closely to the stretch, then moved up on the outside of BROOMFIELD in the stretch and, finishing fast, outgamed HUMORETTE in the final drive. HUMORETTE worked her way up on the inside from a slow beginning and finished with a rush. BROOMFIELD showed the most early speed, but lost some ground on the stretch turn and tired badly in the final sixteenth. SCARE CROW gained steadily on the backstretch and finished fast and close up. BLUE HILL ran out while rounding the first turn and raced wide afterwards. LOUYERNE ran well. STONE-AY ALL was away badly. Won driving; second and third the same. HAYAVARD sprinted into a long lead at once and saved ground while rounding the stretch turn, but was tiring fast at the finish. GEORGE DE MAR closed a big gap while racing on the outside and finished wearing the winner down. MASTER BILLY began quickly, but was outrun and tired through the final eighth.
