P M ci Y x M M p, j, v LEADING AMERICAN JOCKEYS Jockey Ivan Parke is so firmly entrenched in his position at the head of the American jockey list, that only a mishap or an extremely bad slump can wrest the saddle honors of the year from him. Last week he rode nine winners and increased his lead over J. Wallace to twenty-eight winning mounts. If he continues in his present form the prospects are extremely bright for Parke capturing tho riding championship for the second year in succession. Parkes score of last week was not tho high mark of the period for N. Foden rode eleven and O. Pernia tied Parke with nine.
