Barrett Haynes, injured in the fatal fall of El Kantara at Woodbine, straddled a horse today for the first time since the accident. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Pons and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Pons will leave Friday by motor for New Orleans. The Pons horses will be shipped Tuesday morning with those of Clyde Freeman, to the Crescent City. Following his initiation into the Elks Club last night, Dr. F. W. Ashe was given a dinner party by Hugh Gatens, Tom Fullum and I. Arronson. All present agreed that, despite the learned doctors knowledge of horses, he knew nothing about goats. For warming up Etheral Blue the wrong way of the track and for failure to provide an arm number in the exercises, J. Howard was fined 0. J. W. Healy objected. It cost him ?10 for the infraction of the arm number rule. F. Kraft registered with the Laurel association the five horses he has at Pimlico, indicating that he will van some of them over here for the races. Ten Eyck, Al Boyd, Gold Button and Camphor belong to the Ascot Stable of A. L. Aste. Jyntee .is the property of Kraft Jockey Laughlin is with the stable.
