Morris Fausto furnished somewhat of a surprise when he beat Dust Flower and Scissors home in the Frosty Morning Handicap, fifth and feature race at Beulah Park this afternoon. Never far from the pace, Fausto assumed command beginning the last quarter and held his company safe thereafter. Dust Flower, the favorite, was a victom of wretched riding by jockey M. Garrett and just beat Scissors homo by a narrow margin for second place. After the race Garrett was called to the stewards stand to explain his handling of Dust Flower. His riding has been severely criticised by horsemen here of late. On Dust Flower Garrett had no excuses today and was no doubt beaten on the best horse in the race. An accident also marred the running of the feature attraction. While rounding the second bend. Naughty Nisba fell and Fair Ro-Avena fell over her. Jockey F. Moore, on the former, escaped injury but jockey H. Paden suffered a broken leg. Perhaps took a select band of distance performers into camp rather handily in the concluding race after leading by a comfortable margin throughout. Figuration finished stoutly to beat Gem for second place. Buddie Brown was much the best in the initial race and won pulled up. Bengore provided a sensation when he romped home to a handy victory in the second race and paid a dividend of .S0 for tickets. Crestwood Boy experienced dufficulty in making the turns, which brought about his defeat by Antiquity in the third. Closing stoutly from the rear in the stretch Sweet Note captured the fourth handily. Katherine Rankin showed the way practically throughout the sixth race. A. L. Taylor today traded Charles J. Craig-mile to the Fair Play Stable for Kimax. P. Dolan claimed Medina out of the fourth race for ,200. Let Me Forget pulled up lame after the first race. Acting for the Grove City Stable, Ray For-sha .has sold Zoona and Roseberry to J. S. Baldwin and Oran to the Fair Play Stable.
