I CAMBRIDGESHIRE WINNER Duke of Westminsters Tvelve Pointer Captures Historic English Fall Racing Fixture. SPECIAL CABLEGRAM. NEWMARKET, Eng., Oct. 30. The Duke of Westminsters Twelve Pointer, a four-year-old son of Royal Realm and Fin Glen, won the historic Cambridgeshire here this afternoon. He was ridden by Carslake and carried top weight of 124 pounds. Bachelors Fort was second and Verdict, which defeated Epinard in the same stake last year, was third. Lord Coventrys filly was carrying equal weight with the winner in todays race. She ran a good race. Twenty-seven horses started in the race, which was run over a holding track, as a result of the heavy showers before and during the contest. Twelve Pointer was well up from the start. He took command a quarter of a mile from the finish and drew out to win by a length from Bachelors Fort, one of the lightly weighted starters with his impost of 103 pounds. Verdict was a similar distance behind the second horse. The mile and an eighth was completed in 1 :56, which was good time when the condition of the course is considered. Light House was the favorite, but he was beaten after going seven-eighths. Zionist, a son of Spearmint and Judea, which is generally recognized as the best two-year-old colt of the year, scored his third successive victory in the Dewhurst Stakes. Lord Astors Saucy Sue, a daughter of Swinford and Good and Gay, the best juvenile filly of the year, also scored her third consecutive victory, winning the Criterion Stakes. Zionist and Saucy Sue are both unbeaten. Thomas Fortune Ryans Congo, carrying 121 pounds, won the Richmond Nursery of ,500. Twelve started in the race.
