Start good and slow for all but REVEILLON. Won easily; second and third driving. POT SHOT, close up from the start, saved ground when entering the stretch and, racing into an easy lead, was eased up through the final sixteenth. JIBE ran a good race throughout and finished well. CATHLEEN NI HOULIHAN began slowly and closed a big gap on the outside. HENDRICK ran well, but tired when put to a drive. SWEETGRASS finished well. GEORGE DE MAR could not get up. TIME LOCK set a good pace to the stretch and quit. ROYAL GIRL ran a good half mile. HUMORETTE followed the early leader closely and, racing into the lead at the half mile post, held AVAR MASK safe through the final sixteenth. The latter began slowly and met witli early Interference, but closed a big gap and finished fast. CHEMISERIE showed the most early speed, but tired badly. SCARE CROW met with repeated interference. ROYAL AIRMAN ran well. SUPERBUM closed up fast in the stretch. FEYSUN was saved close up to the stretch, then moved up with a rush on the outside and passed LUCKY PLAY, but was doing his best at the end to outstay FREDERICKTOWN. The latter- raced last to the stretch, but came with a belated rush through the stretch and going fastest of all. LUCKY j : . : i : I I FLAY was much used in racing FRIGATE into defeat and, tiring after taking the lead, was in close quarters through the last seventy yards on the inside. BY HISSELF, well ridden, followed PIQUE closely and, gaining rapidly on the outside after entering the stretch, raced into the lead and won going away, but was hard ridden to the end. CAMP-FIRE TALES was badly outrun to the stretch and had to work his way up on the Inside, but finished witli a rush and was going fastest of all at the end. PIQUE showed the most speed from the start and set a fast pace, but tired in the final eighth. GOLDBEATER ran well from the start. STAR LORK came fast through the stretch. BRIGHT STEEL was knocked back on the far turn. ZUKER met with interference on the first turn and was forced to be taken up. JUDGE FULLER quit after going three-quarters.
