MASTER CHARLIE AT DOWNS Reaches Kentucky Track Without Mishap and in Fine Condition. Will Likely-" Rule Favorite For Kentucky Jockey Club.: Stakes Nicholas Another Eastern Arrival. LOUISVILLE, Ky., Oct. 30. Master Charlie, most formidable of the eastern aspirants for the rich Kentucky Jockey Club Stakes, arrived this morning in the best of condition, ,and all. .primed for the great struggle. The crack colt came in personal charge of A. G. Blakely.-he -also brought in the same car Tony Griffith, another eligible to the Jockey Club Stakes, Walter E. and Stampdale. Mr. Blakely also brought the four-year-old. Lighter, consigned to Will Perkins, and a three-year-old colt that he turned over to Phil Chinn. Trainer Blakely reported that Master Charlie would be ready to run to his top notch form next Saturday. The colt was given a. good trial at one mile at Empire, City last Tuesday. Blakely regards the colt very highly and declares he is the fastest horse he ever trained. Master Charlie has to his credit a victory in the Hopeful at Saratoga; in the Remsen at Jamaica, and he won the Tijuana Futurity last winter. That he is partial to a route was evidenced last week at Empire when he shouldered 120 pounds and won easily at one mile and seventy yards. Master Charlie will be ridden in his stake engagement here by Clarence Kummer, who will come here to ride. In all probability the colt will be ruling favorite in the stake. Blakely intends remaining at Churchill Downs until the end of the meeting. The main part of his stable, now at Jamaica, will be shipped Sunday to New Orleans in the care of Tony Cook. Nicholas, owned by Mrs. W. K. Vander-bilt, also arrived today to fill his engagement in the Kentucky Jockey Club Sakes. W. S. Kilmers Sunsard was the only Kentucky Jockey Club candidate to be given ambitious work Thursday morning. The colt with J. Wallace up, gave his trainer, J. I. Smith, much encouragement when he ran the fastest mile of any of the candidates in their training operations to date. Present indications are that a large field will start in the race and will likely be made up of the following: Master Charlie Sep Along Candy Kid Old Slip Nicholas Blue Ridge Sunsard Reputation Swope Twilight Hour Kentucky Cardinal Supremua Aniiihilator Bignonia. Pas Seul Fairy Master Menifee
