TRACK AT COLLINSVILLE, ILL Forty-Five Day Meeting Planned for Next May at Newly Constructed Course. LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 4. C. Bruce Head, who will manage the Collinsville, 111., racing plant, returned here this morning from St. Louis, where he held conference with his associates in the venture. Mr. Head stated that the decision was made to race I next May for a period of at least forty-five. days, and that work of completing the plant in detail will begin at once. The steel frames I for the grandstand and clubhouse are in position and the track proper is graded and will be benefited by the winter settling process. The building of stables to accommodate 800 horses will be started soon. Collinsville is six miles from East St Louis, and within twenty-five minutes reach of the heart of St Louis and Mr. Head is sanguine that after the long lay off from racing the St. Louis public will generously patronize a high class racing venture such as the promoters have in view.
