CANDY KID took the lead quickly and set a fast pace to the last eighth, but tired and gave way at the end. SUNNY MAN was clear of early interference and ran a good race, but could not improve his position in the final eigMh. SINGLE FOOT was In a contending position through the backstretch, but lost ground in the stretch drive YOUNG MARTIN tired. AMERICAN FLAG was crowded back in the dash for the first turn and never had a chance to run. PAS SEUL had no speed. BY HISSELF began slowly and was badly outrun CLOUD-LAND was easing up near the end. COURAGEOUS showed speed, but quit. BLUE WARBLER was prominent until she ran up on the heels of a horse in front of her when nearing the stretch and stumbled unseating her rider. .
