ARRIVE IN THIS COUNTRY Horses Purchased in England at December Sales Reach Here On Minnetonka. NEW YORK, N. Y., Dec. 21. The Atlantic transport liner, Minnetonka, arrived here today from England with twenty-five horses,-which were purchased at the recent Newmarket sales for American breeders and sportsmen. Despite the Ions and trying voyage, the horses shipped in splendid shape, and were unloaded without mishap. Former Senator Johnson N. Camden, who was a liberal purchaser abroad, had eight head in the consignment "Walter J. Salmon, Scot Harlan, George "W. "Wingfield, Edward R. Bradley, Marshall Field III., J. E. "Wide-ner and L. Combs also were represented in the importation. Dr. Robert "W. McCully inspected the horses when the ship docked, and he expressed satisfaction with the general condition of the lot. He pronounced the Camden mares one of the choicest lots brought into this country. Volta, the twelve-year-old stallion, which was imported for George Wingfield of Reno, Nevada, was the best shipper of the lot. He was sent on to Nevada immediately. The other horses also were transferred to express cars and routed to their respective destinations.
