NEPTUNE took the lead with a rush at the half mile post and drew away to win in a canter. FOLLOW ME raced gamely, but was easily held safe by the winner. BLACK MASK raced on the inside to the stretch turn, where he came wide and finished well. LOUISE WAGNER lacked speed in the going and was never a dangerous contender. PAT followed the leaders close up to the stretch turn, where he was taken to the outside and, coming fast when called on, raced into the lead and won going away through the last sixteenth. HAZEL DALE set the early pace and was hard ridden all the way, but tired in the stretch. HARAN closed a gap and finished gamely. AAon easily; second and third driving. NIMROD was outrun to the stretch turn, from where he soon raced past the leader and easily drew away from CUBA ENCANTO in the final eighth. The latter set a good pace and, saving ground on the last turn, came again at the end and outgamed TESUQUE. The latter raced well, but swerved out when entering the stretch.
