Always in the spring the Nursery Stakes has been one of the features of the Benning meeting, but a fall in temperature and the fact that Oaklawn appeared to outclass his opponents kept the attendance down. Oaklawn won easily by three lengths from Vendor. The conditions of the Nursery are four and a half furlongs for two-year olds, with allowances. Davy Johnsons horses were shipped tonight to New York.
