Subsequent to his race of March 31, Malvern had changed owners and was not a member of the Shafer entry in the third race at Tijuana of Sunday, April 5. Madam Vennie was the Shafer entry in that race and ran for all wagers on the entry, paying place and show. P. J. OT.. Chicago. 111. The parlay on Shafer entry Madam Vennie. Lord Valentine and Lady Inez, won place and show. D. M., Chicago, 111. There was no Apple-gate in the race inquired about and wagers on that name were draws. It is doubtful whether any layer would allow an "if coming" on Big Indian, which came from a Let on Big Indian, but it would go on Cleg all right. C. B. IL. Voungstown, Ohio.
