Hugh "Red" Gilmore has shipped his stable of three horses to Beulah Park, Columbus, Ohio. J. B. Cloher arrived Thursday from Chicago, where he had been visiting since he left Tijuana. His horses, which recently arrived from the Lower California track, are now at Churchill Downs. W. J. Spcirs, trainer of the stable of W. Zeigler, Jr., does not believe that Our General is the stables only Derby eligible with a chance to take down the big race. He believes that Borderland is also a good prospect, and says that if the colt continues to train satisfactory that he will be a certain starter in the Derby. Starter William Hamilton, who is slowly recovering from a recent operation in St. Joseph Infirmary in this city, does not expect to be able to leave the institution for at least two weeks. It will therefore be impossible for him to officiate at the barrier during the Lexington meeting. William Snyder, who alternates with Hamilton, will perform the starters duties. Trainer Bill Speirs did not call upon Our General for any stiff work Thursday. The big colt was allowed to gallop around the course several times. He will probably be u nlimbered for a fast gallop Friday morning. A
