BLACK GOLD IMPROVING LOUISVILLE. Ky., April 16.— Black Cold, 1 I which developed a sudden case of lameness in one of his feet last week, is doing nicely, 1 and Wednesday morning he was able to take ; exercise around the stable shed. Trainer Webb found it necessary to cut out the quarter crack at the heel and poulticed the injured part for a number of days. Thursday morning he put a bar shoe on the horse. • I which should prove beneficial. It is belie vi l the horse will resume galloping in a few J I days.
